Classroom

The classroom in day care are specially furnished with each of the children having their own place to seat and also for easy mobility of the children. We have established a few simple rules to create a positive classroom atmosphere where every member feels safe and loved. We are guiding parents and volunteers on how to respond to inappropriate behaviors of these children. We are looking for opportunities to offer specific praise for positive behaviors. We are avoiding responding with anger, threats, punishment, or criticism of everyone no matter how the children behave. We are very much aware and avoid (where possible) situations where these kind of behavior might occur. We are sharing circumstances of disabilities that may contribute to behavior of different types of characteristics of the children. We are providing an assistant to support the children to make sketches with the help of pencils. We are managing and at times avoiding unnecessary power struggles. We are helping the individuals learn how to express his or her needs in appropriate ways. We always remember that the person is a beloved child of family, who is going through mental difficulties. Children are trying to learn letters/words and having good time drawing and sketching in white papers.
